Folks, please keep the conversation going till July 3!

I know I have said this like a hundred times now, but I am really going to miss all of you folks for the next 2 weeks. Perhaps, sometimes, we don’t fully appreciate what it means to be an Indian and all the freedoms we have in our great country. Until we have to go to a country that truly doesn’t believe in liberty…

But you know me, I’m always up for something new. So, I am psyched! I wish I could see every corner of the world before I die. Ideally, I would add space too as a destination, but that doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen.. 🙂 Although I wouldn’t wanna stop dreaming 🙂

Neways, reader Raj Dharm yesterday wrote in with a great idea. Perhaps you folks could keep commenting and talking and discussing in the comments thread below. These two weeks could actually help us in building a better knit community among our readers!

As you folks know, the comments thread on my blog is open and so your comments should keep appearing automatically. As long as you have commented at least once in the past, all your comments should show up immediately.

But, please note that sometimes WordPress tends to hold back comments for moderation for no reason at all. I have had  a few occasions when I have found comments from regular commenters stuck in the moderation queue. I don’t know why. But since I won’t be around these next 2 weeks to check the moderation queue, please don’t be disappointed if WordPress eats up your comment. Just try posting it again…

I’ll be waiting to see what’s being discussed when I open up the page again on July 3 🙂

Till then, take care, hold tight and don’t let the Mameluks bite 🙂

Cheers,

Chaiwallah

  1. Shame on these people. They probably thought that their job just involved coming to the office, having tea, doing chit chat and taking bribes and they thought that they would get away with it.There was a provision for compulsory retirement for IAS officers but it was rarely used.Kudos to the Modi govt for using it to remove non performers. http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-national/unease-among-civil-servants-facing-the-axe/article8785408.ece

  2. The spirit of Hinduism is logic and skepticism.

Hinduism was raised on the foundation of science and freedom of inquiry.

There is not a single incident of a scientist being persecuted by religious authorities in India as was the case in the West.

Hinduism has never indulged in suffocation of scientific thoughts, instead it has incorporated science in religion.

  3. A very Shameful tweet by Aajtak and also shameful act by quint. They crossed all limits.

    http://www.thequint.com/social-buzz/2016/06/29/shameonaajtak-narendra-modi-interview-times-now-aaj-tak-irked-twitterati-with-an-arnab-goswami-meme.

Aaj tak called Arnab a Chamacha, since Modi gave interview to only Arnab and not others. When they got caught, they told that it was leaked by a person. So, it is not their fault.

The other angle is, presstitutes like quint believes that, When Modi gives interview to others, he is scared. But when he gives interview to Arnab, even Arnab is scared. see the video that have posted at the end of article. Equally shameful.

These thugs should understand that, Modi is now PM and also a respected personality across globe. Even foreign journalists give him respect. He is not a kejriwal or a joker sanjay jha or pappu , that Arnab should shout on him.

  4. Very good read!

    Quote:
The next step is to usher in big bang financial reforms. For that to happen, it is crucial to have a “thinking economic man or woman” at the helm of finance ministry.

The finance ministry has been the laggard in an otherwise smooth functioning of the Modi cabinet towards achieving development goals of the country.

The two year performance of the Finance Ministry has been lackluster to say the least. There has been no fresh thinking or out-of-the-box ideas.

the Finance Minister has been high on rhetoric and low on action.

  7. World Bank Chief Jim Yong Kim thinks that India is a bright spot and is pleased with progress under Modi.Oh no!This is quite concerning. It shows that RSS is spreading its tentacles far and wide even to far away South Korea. This man is undoubtedly a sanghi who was indoctrinated in a RSS shaka in South Korea.Thankfully, the other Korea ie North Korea is RSS free. It’s a shining example of how a country should be.A truly liberal country.Kudos to Kim Jong Un for keeping RSS out and protecting liberal values. We adarsh libtards will forever be grateful to you. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/economy/policy/india-a-bright-spot-pleased-with-progress-under-pm-narendra-modi-jim-yong-kim/articleshow/52989702.cms

  8. This is what Annie Besant said on India and Hinduism :

“After a study of some forty years and more of the great religions of the world, I find none so perfect , none so scientific, none so philosophical and none so spiritual that the great religion known by the name of Hinduism.

Make no mistake, without Hinduism, India has no future. Hinduism is the soil in to which India’s roots are stuck and torn out of that she will inevitably wither as a tree torn out from its place.

And if Hindus do not maintain Hinduism who shall save it?  If India’s own children do not cling to her faith who shall guard it. India alone can save India and India and Hinduism are one. ”

Lets hope that, in this monsoon session, GST is passed. If this is passed, congress will be isolated in future and also its dominance will be reduced in RS.

  10. Historical day for India:
Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) has finally been inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF) today.

I hope the days of buying everything imported for kick backs and foreign jaunts are over!

Our country which is capable of sending rockets to moon and mars and launching satellites can defiantly develop and indigenous all the requirements of defense if there is a political will.

Imagine if we had started all this years back by now we would have developed all the defense requirements ,hence not to depend on import in case of war!!

      1. Finally !! This is really good news. We must give credit to Modi and Pariker. As far as I know, AF and DRDO both were arguing with each other and the project was delayed too much. Basically, IAF also did not understand that, this is an iterative process, and so modification will happen every time. They have to start some where. Fighter planes, submarines are products where modification will happen over the time and also technology will change, Finally, Pariker was successful to force AF to induct Tejas. Now onus is on DRDO to work fast and catch the new changes. With Modi as PM, I am sure he will not allow DRDO to go slow.

    1. Law of the land to be followed wherever one is,nobody should be allowed to bring in their own laws!

      Vladimir Putin, the Russian President

“In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia , to work and eat in Russia , should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law. Russia does not need
      minorities.

Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not Russians.”

       Australian Finance Minister
Said that immigrants who want to live in Australia need to live by Australian law, not the Sharia law of Islam.
He is quoted as saying that Muslims to want to live by Sharia law are not welcome in Australia.

    2. Thugs have already started opposing uniform civil code. Wondering what they will do during session discussion in parliament. Below are some of the comments from anti nationals.

“The Centre is raking up the issue in view of the 2017 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. A divisive atmosphere is sought to be created deliberately. – Abhishek Singhvi, Cong Spokesperson

It’s a move to turn the nation into a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. I challenge the government to impose total prohibition. If it is serious about the civil code, it should withdraw the tax rebate extended to Hindu Undivided Families in the next session of Parliament. – Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM.”

BTW, the same owaisi has given legal aid to arrested ISIS terrorists in Hyderabad. The same guy was crying when Modi government was helping kasmiri pandits for their return in kashmir.
