Why people like Ram Madhav are among the worst offenders

So today, while getting my early morning Twitter fix, I came across this :

Untitled.png

Huh? What’s this? An article in The Indian Express showing Modi in a majestic posture, the Hindu Hriday Samrat? How is this possible?

Then I realize: it’s Ram Madhav himself writing in The Indian Express commemorating the BJP’s Foundation Day.

And this made me very very angry. Let me tell you why.

Seriously? Ram Madhav chose The Indian Express to write the “official” commemorative article for the BJP’s foundation day? Why Ram Madhav ji, why? What happened? Did The Wire and Tehelka turn you down? Did NDTV refuse to carry your article?

This article from Ram Madhav is a slap on the face of every BJP leader who has been vilified with ridiculous hitjobs and fake news in The Indian Express. This article from Ram Madhav is a slap on the face of every loyal BJP supporter on social media who has spent hours combing liberal media and exposing its elitist, anti-Hindu and anti-BJP bias.

Surely a man like Ram Madhav should have known better. Over the last four years, the pages of The Indian Express have been filled with every possible kind of biased and fake news against BJP.

There was one Amaresh Misra, a psychotic “journalist” who once threatened online to cut off the heads of BJP supporters. Got arrested and had to lie low for a few years. Who resurrected this hateful person as a columnist? The Indian Express.

There is Amaresh Misra, there is Liz Mathew. There is the columnist who wrote explaining why Priyanka Gandhi is the feminist icon that the women of the country have been waiting for. I could just go on and on and on…

All in the pages of The Indian Express.

Which newspaper was loudest in spreading the rumor that the Hindutva parivar had something to do with Gauri Lankesh murder? Indian Express.

When a nun was raped in Bengal, which newspaper was leading the effort to heap the  blame on BJP supporters? Indian Express.

Today Ram Madhav has effectively given The Indian Express a clean chit against the charge of being a filthy, third-rate partisan rag. They publish 1000 articles bootlicking Sonia Gandhi. Then, a senior BJP functionary like Ram Madhav goes and publishes one article in the same newspaper, which now allows The Express to claim that it is open and tolerant to all points of view.

The fact that Ram Madhav would publish in IE now gives credibility to every single hitjob that the newspaper has carried out over the years. Rather than marginalizing its partisan hack voice, Ram Madhav is helping the IE mainstream its biased hate towards BJP.

And then we wonder why the right wing cannot take down the entrenched left wing ecosystem. If our so called leaders go down on their knees before the temples of the left, it means that you are accepting the left wing, Congress worldview as the default. You have already conceded that their institutions are great and worthy of respect.

Is this respect reciprocated by the left in any form whatsoever? No, they continue to treat the Sangh Parivar as illiterate idiots, regressive fools who are devoid of logical reasoning capabilities. Have you ever listened to how they talk about you? Dripping with contempt.

When you give respect without expect any, you don’t earn their respect. To someone like Ram Madhav, this much should have been obvious.

What ecosystem are you going to fight when you acknowledge their intellectual superiority at every turn?

In contrast, even a duffer like Rahul Gandhi knows that he should promote and mainstream outlets that are friendly to him. Over the last few months, Rahul’s official Twitter handle has shared “news” from even the most shady sources … such as The Wire and even complete scum like Janta ka Reporter. Rahul’s twitter handle scours the dark corners of the web, scrapes the bottom of the barrel and serves the filth as mainstream news.

What are you promoting, Ram Madhav? The Indian Express?

At this point, someone might ask me. Come on Chaiwallah, you are overly castigating Ram Madhav. He has done so much for the cause of the Hindu right, especially in its now prized victories in the North East. What have you done? You are just an armchair critic. You social media types think everything happens because of you.

I say, okay… sure. I am glad that Ram Madhav did what he did in the North East. But when I see absolute stupidity, I call it out. This much I do know : you win in a democracy by drawing people in, not pushing them away. So go ahead and belittle your most passionate and loyal supporters; kick them in teeth. See where it gets you.

  1. Even I could not believe my eyes when I read Ram Madhav’s article in Indian Express. The BJP has plenty of such types who would genuflect to the publishers of rags like IE. It is people such as these who destroy the hard work of the ordinary worker on the ground as they dilute the ideology by sending out mixed signals. What does that convey to the rank and file? That its OK for the rags to bash the BJP but the BJP should be deferential to the rags? I think there are a number of such types in the BJP leadership who are the cause of the BJP disappointing and disheartening its core supporters. People like Ram Madhav, Javadekar, Jaitely, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Suresh Prabhu, Devedra Fadnavis, etc, who are the cause of such perception among the rank and file supporters and party workers. I heard that Suresh Prabhu’s Commerce Ministry is considering awarding Amir Khan a lucrative contract as a brand ambassador representing India for promotions in China just because his movies were a hit in China!! Why can’t these types know that what they do as leaders affects the morale of the supporters and why can’t they be circumspect in their dealings with Lutyens ecosystem? Is it too much to expect from them?

  2. Dear CW,

To be fair to Ram Madhav, I doubt that HE took the decision to publish his article in the IE. The disease of prostrating themselves before their worst critics and purveyors of hit jobs goes all the way to the top in the BJP, starting with Jaitley, who never fails to give “exclusive” interviews to NDTV after every budget and on many occasions in-between.

Now Ram Madhav (who is apparently from coastal AP — I did not know that) has been put in charge of the AP BJP unit. He has my sympathies.

    1. Out of which 10 crores has been looted from the Siddhi Vinayak temple.

This is why in Maharashtra, BJP expands to Bollywood Janata Party

      1. The BJP leaders seem to want Hindu votes and Secular notes. But the secular notes are also Hindu notes. And the secular media gets notes because of Hindu votes. Let me explain.

We know by now that the (ex-JNU) seculars operating the press and news channels cannot earn a days livelihood by themselves. The newspapers and TV channels are just a front, a sham. How do they make money then ? From people like Kejriwal who funneled Delhi taxpayer money to TV channels for “advertising” and creating fake news and people like Fernandes who find innovative ways of robbing temples. Ironically, Kejriwal looted Delhi and is now expressing suspicion over banks.

Anyway, the money secular media has is nothing but Hindu temple money and taxpayer money (which Jaitley is merrily squeezing from the salaried class). If the money flow to secular media stopped, IE would stop. And if IE stopped, Ram Madhav’s articles would stop.

    2. David Fernandes that is just monumentally stupid. There are a number of dharmic foundations doing really great work without any seeking any advertisement and publicity that could have been sponsored by David Fernandes. But no he has to pick Aamir Khan’s Paani foundation so that Aamir Khan can then go and allege intolerance in the next ecosystem sponsored dram of intolerance!

      1. … And our Rashtravaadi, DeshBhakt, Swadeshi-Premi and what not… BABA RAMDEV is also nourishing/promoting anti-india, anti-hindu, so called SECULAR news channells/newspapers by giving them patanjali ads worth crores of rupees every year. Patanjali/Baba ramdev earns this money mainly from hindu people and muslims are boycotting it saying it is Haraam. So, why shouldn’t hindu people also boycott patanjali products, because ultimately hindustani money is going in the hands of anti-india brigade.

  3. Gandhi bug internalized from and donated by Macaulaya is biting and infecting the partial comprehensive mind of Indians including well meaning leaders from nationalist party like BJP. This is the root cause of reactive administration, errors in priorities, lack of timely action on empowerment and built of your own ecosystem, developing tools of national security and internal powerfull cohesive social and cultural institutions, ingenuity etc.

  4. Good reason to be angry but I think you are reading too much into it. There is equally increasing profileration of not just RW websites but quotes from several BJP leaders quoting articles from these websites (ref Kapil Sibal exclusive on OpIndia by Nupur). In fact, OpIndia has rattled the birdcage to such an extent that our libtards had to call upon offshore services from Mr Dhume and counter them in WSJ, no less.

There is no doubt that a more confident and increasingly aggessive RW is taking shape in India – Modi and his band of merry men will not do all the things I want him/them to do but neither could Sachin. Make no mistake about it, though, that the reason there was a Sehwag and there is a Kohli is because there was a Sachin who lit the path for others to follow!

    1. You forgot about V. V.S. Laxman who won far more test matches than Sachin ever did (one day matches are another story however). 🙂

Seriously, RaGa does a far, far better job of plugging lying portals like Liar, Troll etc. than any BJP leader ever did with RW sites like OpIndia. Other than one exclusive given by Piyush Goyal, I don’t recall any occasion when a senior BJP leader patronized OpIndia.
